RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) Lenses - Appilcation
The application of the RGP lenses is conducted the same way (as described in the respective page) for the application of soft contact lenses), but we have to pinit your attention in certain aspects:
You place the RGP lens directy at the center of your eye and not at the edge. That is because this type of lens do not center itself like the soft lens. On the other hand if you try to drag it with your finger towards the center of your eye you may injure the corneal tissue.
There is a special liquid you can apply on the RGP lens before you use them that facilitates the application and makes it less harmfull.
The RGP lens do not stick on your finger the way that the soft lens does. Therefore you need to pay a little more attention not to drop them.
For any other ploblem you may encounter contact your eye-care practioner or ask the experts.
Removal of RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) Lenses
An easy way to remove your RGP lenses is to use a special "sucker"
designed for that purpose. You can find it on any optician or your
eyecar practitioner.
