Soft Astigmatic (Toric) Contact Lenses
They are made of the same materials as the normal soft contact lenses, but theil design is very different. This difference cannot be noticed by the user and of course nobody can tell if you are wearing normal soft or astigmatic contact lenses. There are special test to be performed by your optometrist in order to find the correct lens for your eyes. All the other aspects that are applied for the soft contact lenses are also valid for this type of contact lenses.
Some of the commercial names of the soft astigmatic contact lenses are:
Optima Toric by Bausch & Lomb with a water containment of 45% for normal every day use.
Durasoft 2 and 3 Optifit Toric by Wessley Jessen, one of the few types of soft astigmatic lenses that are also available in color, with water containment of 38% or 55%.
Zero 6 Toric by Hydron, for normal every day use.
